talking about weather
It's only August 21 but autumn is here already. Damned country! Not sure I am ready yet for the wet and muddy shoes, and the flu that comes with it...

Apart from Asimov and other Saul Bellow and Steinbeck, my pick for this summer is without hesitation this wonderful textbook I bought in May (practical Chinese). It has always been my dream to become acquainted with this language, but I was always too scared to take the plunge. And now here I am, I know already something like a hundred characters!!!Hopefully, I will be able to write this blog in Chinese somewhere around 2015.

I've waited so many years before I finally made myself read Asimov and it was worth it a hundred times over! I'm glad my lack of curiosity back then has left me so many great books to discover today.

It first looked like I was going to be left with a nice scar on the back of my skull from our short - but rich in impressions- trip to Tarusa.But the wound healed perfectly, so I won't be able to sport a pirate look as I had first intended.
They are building Tutankhamun a new tomb next to our house. It might not look as sophisticated as the original, but I believe it will be sound enough to survive five thousand years of terrorist attacks. Real estate investors are already queuing in line to acquire rooms for their sarcophagi...Well, I'm dreaming as usual. In fact, it's only new sewers the guys are building here.
